National oral health month in Canada

April is Oral Health month in Canada. Help promote good hygiene to ensure a great smile. Dr Raffy and the Brushamania team is just doing that. As part of Brushamania a dentist goes into a school and teaches young students the importance of caring for their teeth. The program started in 2005 with 15 schools and 5,000 childen and now in 2013 it is in over 200 schools with 50,000 children.

As well the students get a toothbrush, toothpaste, and a booklet to keep track of their brushing for the month. At the end of the month they bring their booklet back to their teacher and get a sticker for successfully brushing every day.

How are you promoting oral health month? If you want to get involve with the Brushamania go to their website to get more information.
