I was recmended by a potential client that never materialized. As a person who has had some trepidation over the years of dental work due to an incident when I was seven, I was somewhat nervous. Dr. Stanley put me at ease. Now ten years or so later, I wouldn't go antwhere else. Like a good hairstylist, once you find one, you stay with them. Dr Stanley replaced aging gold crowns on my front teeth with porcelain - they look totally natural. Over the years he has also performed a double root canal, replaced several old fillings, given me advice on how to properly brush my teeth (most people don't know), and general oral hygiene. Anytime there is work to be done, he will give me two or three options, depending on the work needed. I would not hesitate recomending him at all. His work is great and he has always treated me with respect and professionalism. Oh, and his staff? Very friendly. |

I went to Dr. Stanley on a referral from a friend who had some dental work done. I will never return to Dr. Stanley because the work he did was second rate. After spending roughly $5,000, I expected perfect work and as a cosmetic dentist, you would think that he would make sure the teeth matched and they didn't. The tooth in question was an upper eye tooth and it had a temporary filling which had chipped. I went to Dr. Stanley to have it repaired. After the repair the eye tooth was shorter than the other teeth. I went to see him to fix the tooth to make it match and be even with the other teeth. When I asked him about the work he gave an excuse saying that the tooth in question was shorter when I came to him. Wouldh't you think a cosmetic dentist would repair the tooth so that it matched the other teeth? Also, the colour that he used on the tooth for the filling doesn't match the other teeth. He also performed a root canal and finished with a crown. The crown was too large and food was constantly getting wedged in between the teeth. I asked him about this tooth and he said it was the same size as the original tooth when he had taken the impression. As mentioned I will never be back to this dental office. I went to another dentist who evened my teeth and fixed the crown, which added to my cost. The other dentist said that the reason food was lodging in between my teeth was that the crown did not properly fit. I would recommend that you seriously consider not having Dr. Stanley work on your teeth. Perhaps the other dentist in the office, Dr. Nusinoff, would have done a better job, but I will never know. There was no offer of any kind of reimbursement for the sloppy job that was done on my teeth. Other dentists who had performed sloppy work would have made the necessary adjustments at no cost to the patient. |
